✨ What's New in v2.9.0

🌡️ Body Temperature Tracking

You can now log your dogs' body temperatures in the Health Center, next to their weight. Each reading is read in context, so you can see at a glance whether a dog is running hot or cold.

Measurements now has Weight and Temperature tabs
Readings in °F or °C, flagged when they are high or low, with stages for hypothermia
A trend chart and an in app guide that explains how each reading is interpreted
Weight and temperature entries now show up in the activity feed

🩺 Health Center Improvements

Health records and vaccines are quicker to work with and harder to change by accident.

Clicking a record opens a view first. Edit and Delete are a deliberate second step
Each vaccine now suggests its own Valid Until date, with 1, 2 and 3 year quick picks
Optional vaccine expiry reminders, so you hear about a renewal before it lapses
A vaccine that has since been renewed now shows as Expired instead of Overdue

🔍 Search & Filters Everywhere

You can search your whole account from one place, and every main list now has the same search and filter bar.

🎂 Dog Birthday Reminders

DogBase now remembers your dogs' birthdays for you. The dog's handler gets a reminder in their Reminders inbox and by email, at 9:00 in the morning their time.

Reminders for every active dog that is at least a year old
A branded birthday email with the dog's photo, age and a link to their profile
A one time birthday card in the app in the days after the birthday, one card per dog

✈️ Travel & Crate Sizing

A new Travel & Crate Sizing card on each dog's profile works out the crate a dog needs for air travel, based on airline (IATA) crate rules.

Add your dog's height and length, and the card calculates the crate size
Record gear measurements and keep a list of your crates
Edit the measurements right on the card

👤 Actions Linked to Teams & People

Action types can now ask for a team and a person, so every action shows who it belongs to.

New Team and People options for action types in the Type Builder
The action list and action details show the attached team and handler
Each person's page lists the actions assigned to them
You can pick a dog without choosing a team first

🗂️ Restore Deleted Teams

Deleted teams are no longer gone for good. You can find and restore them yourself for 60 days.

A new Active and Deleted toggle on the Teams page
Only account admins and the team's creator can delete a team
The delete confirmation names the team and what it holds, and asks you to type the team name before removing a team with dogs or members

🛡️ Record Visibility & Security

Each user's data access setting, whether that is their own records, their teams, or the whole account, now applies everywhere: trainings, actions and DogBase Insights drilldowns. Users who never had a setting were given access to the whole account, so nothing changes for them. This release also strengthens file storage and PDF export security, and editing records now follows each person's role in each account.

💳 New Plans & Pricing

DogBase now offers Handler, Team, Unit, Program, Nonprofit and Enterprise plans, and you can compare them from the Plans page in the app.

Handler is billed per dog and covers up to 5 dogs and 10 users
Your Account page shows your usage against your plan
Nonprofit rates and organization quotes can be requested in the app
Current subscriptions stay on their existing plan and pricing

🐕 New Templates & Type Icons

The public template library has five new types, and nine action templates now include related records. Training types can also use icons from a new searchable icon library.

📱 Mobile & Interface Polish

A handful of smaller changes make everyday use smoother.

Clicking a reminder opens a view with Edit, Mark complete and Delete
Signup is shorter: your first team is set up for you, and Account Name is explained
Team location is now optional
The action picker shows three types across, and long type names wrap
A cleaner Edit Dog button and units switch

🔧 Fixes & Stability

This release also includes a range of smaller fixes: the Delete option on table row menus can be reached on the last rows again, an expired email link now says it has expired and offers a new one, AI Summary opens for every training, completing a group event asks for a session time, the location input no longer crashes when a team has no location, uploads explain the size limit before they start, PDF exports are more reliable, file previews load faster, training values are kept when switching types, every phone country and currency now has a flag, training recaps show a single Handlers card, and group toggles are readable again.

⚙️ Engineering & Platform Improvements

Search now runs on DogBase's own servers instead of a separate search service, which keeps results in step with your records. Much of this release also went into reliability work and error monitoring, so problems are spotted and fixed sooner.
